Determine how you will transport houseplants and pets (they don't do well in moving trucks) Use or dispose of any flammable, corrosives or poisons in your garage (The Moving Company can't ship these)

2 weeks before:

Notify professional services, government agencies, accounts, etc. about your upcoming move, including: doctors, attorneys, school districts, financial planners, insurance providers, auto finance company, bank or credit union, credit card companies, city/county tax assessor, state vehicle registration, etc.

1 week before:

Review moving plans with The Moving Company Notify credit/debit card companies if you plan to pay for the move in this manner Fill any prescriptions you will need during the move Pack an "essentials box" with toiletries, etc. to keep with you during the move Ensure that all door openings are wide enough to accommodate larger furniture Drain gas and oil from lawnmowers, space heaters and gas grills

Post-Moving Checklist
